Rajasthan Villa

Nestled within the desert landscape of Rajasthan, this luxury villa harmonizes regional stone craftsmanship with contemporary spatial layering. Designed to house two distinct family residences across staggered levels, the estate integrates an expansive banquet hall within a partial basement while preserving privacy and daylight. We structured the villa across staggered vertical planes to give both homes their own distinct spatial identity and private outdoor access while maintaining a cohesive architectural envelope. To bring natural light and ventilation into the partial basement banquet hall, we carved out a sunken landscaped courtyard. Illuminated open-air staircases offer direct, elegant guest entry without disturbing the private residences above. Wrapped in warm regional buff sandstone, the facade reimagines classical elements through grand arched openings, wrought-iron balconies, and sweeping double-height window alcoves. Floor-to-ceiling geometric jali (lattice) screens frame the main elevation. Integrated concealed LED backlighting transforms these traditional elements into glowing architectural features after dusk. The stepped site design transitions into terraced lawns featuring a sunken fire-pit lounge, an outdoor kitchen counter, and palm-lined perimeter garden beds for year-round outdoor hosting.
